If you want to start the day with breakfast in one of Cannes iconic hotels, we recommend staying at Hôtel du Cap Eden Roc, which is with its legendary pool on the cliffs just 25 minutes away from the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. For a more central stay and faster access to the venue, stay at Hôtel Barriere Le Majestic Cannes, Partner of the Film Festivals and part of The Leading Hotels of the World. With its private beach and in-house screening room available for private hire, its amenities perfectly adds to the film festival atmosphere. Finally, Hôtel Martinez is one of the best known five-star establishments in Cannes. Owned by World of Hyatt, the hotel has a its own top-rated beach club right across the Boulevard de la Croisette.
Hôtel du Cap Eden Roc
If there is one hotel you need to know about, its Hôtel du Cap Eden Roc. The five-star hotel by the Oetker Collection welcomes guests since 1870, making hotel history ever since. From the private air travel to the incredibly large gardens including five clay tennis courts - no hotel can match the services and facilities of this glamorous retreat. During the Cannes Film Festival the hotel is hosting the annual amfAR gala dinner.

Not too far away from the beach, the area around Rue d’Antibes is ideal for a quick shopping spree or to just admire Cannes typical architecture. Designer stores and boutiques are located directly at the Croisette beach along the lavish Boulevard de la Croisette.
For the best ice-cream in Cannes we got a lot of recommendations for Gelato Junkie and La Gelateria, both just 5 walking minutes away from the beach and the Film Festival.
